History:
The idea of creating the Academy Of Form & Dance "Odoriko" was formed by the founders - Bogumiła Kłopotek-Malinowska and Elżbieta Wiśniewska whilst professional work with children in a Japanese school in Fukuoka on the island of Honsiu in 1994. From then on the founders of "Odoriko" began working on the concept of the future dancing school.
The history of the Academy Of Form & Dance "Odoriko" dates from 1996, begining with a group of 35 children and from the start setting high standards.
Not only the study of dance is required of the pupils but also a development of artistic sensitivity through music and motion.
Currently 120 pupils aged 4 to 14 attend the Academy.
Every year the Academy Of Form & Dance "Odoriko" takes part in 2 premieres in the Theatre of Stefan Jaracz in Łódź. Apart from that the pupils perform on stage in such theatres as : The Great Theatre (Teatr Wielki), Musical Theatre (Teatr Muzyczny), New Theatre (Teatr Nowy), Łódź Gallery (Galeria Łódzka), on TV channels such as Toya, TVP 3, TVP 1and TVN. The pupils also take part in charity festivities mainly in aid of disabled children at schools, supermarkets and outdoors.
Not to mention the fact that they are also well known at different dancing competitions (1st and 2nd places) and fashion shows in Łódź and Warsaw.
